Cheetah Conservation Fund

There once was a cheetah named Allen. Allen was the best friend of the goddess Artemis, the huntress. Back then cheetahs were a pure golden color without spots. They were also very fast, but they weren't the fastest animal. Artemis and Allen both loved to hunt and made a great team. No animal or monster had ever escaped when Artemis and Allen were hunting them.

Zeus had heard the great stories about the amazing cheetah and huntress, and sent for them. They came to Zeus and he told them that he was having some trouble and he wanted them to help him. They agreed. Zeus wanted them to hunt down and kill the former god Orseous, whom Zeus had cursed and turned into a mortal 2 headed lion, but, Orseous still was very nefarious.

Allen and Artemis started off on their journey. They tried to track him down, but it was harder than they thought. Orseous was very clever and knew that they were coming to kill him, so he devised a plan. He stealthily sneaked behind them. Allen was in front of Artemis and so when Orseous attacked, Allen couldn't get back in time to help Artemis. Orseous gave Artemis some wounds that would have killed a mortal in less than a minute, but Artemis was a god and immortal, but that didn't stop the wounds from being very painful and draining her of her strength. By the time that Allen got there, Orseous was gone. At first sight of Artemis lying on the ground with blood splattering everywhere, Allen was very frightened. Allen walked up to Artemis and tried to avoid the blood, but Artemis said “Don't avoid the blood, let it hit your beautiful hide and stain it because I am giving you some of my blood, the blood of my father Zeus, so that when animals and people look at you, they will fear you and your great cunningness, strength, courage, and speed. They will fell honored to be in such a great animal's presence. It will now be a part of you and all of your ancestors.” Then Artemis told Allen to go to finish the task that Zeus gave them. Allen ran with great speed, Allen was now the fastest creature on legs. Allen did not feel one drop of fear. Allen quickly caught up quickly to Orseous and slayed him with one quick slice of his mighty paw. Allen then went back for Artemis and since Allen now had great strength, easily carried Artemis back to Mount Olympus where Allen stayed with Artemis till Artemis got better. Now whenever you look at a cheetah, you will know what the spots mean and you will feel honored to be in such an awesome creature's presence.
