Advisory for Volunteers Travelling to Namibia
- On occasion people have packed their expensive jewelry, iPods, cameras or laptops in their suitcases and when they have arrived in Namibia or back in their country of orgin - these items were missing. Please hand carry any item that is expensive!!!
- If overnighting in Johannesburg, please collect your bags at the airport - they will not be re-directed to Namibia.
- If going through Johannesburg or leaving Windhoek - have your bags plastic wrapped - both airports provide ths service for about US$5.00.
- Pack a day's clothes in your carry-on luggage in case your checked-in luggage does not arrive at your destination with you. Don't worry, in this case usually bags turn up a couple days later.
