COME SEE WHAT WE DO!
Cheetah Conservation Fund's Dr. Laurie Marker invites you to join her at a special reception and behind-the-scenes tour of the editorial offices of the National Geographic Society Headquarters in Washington, DC hosted by National Geographic Magazine Editor and CCF Trustee Chris Johns, on December 12th at 6:00 PM. We will be be joined by acclaimed photographer Frans Lanting, filmmaker Christine Eckstrom and cinematographer Gregory J. Wilson. This special fund raising event is in conjunction with the public National Geographic Live! presentation by these artists entitled "Cheetahs: Survivors on the Run," in the Grosvenor Auditorium from 7:30-9:00 PM.
Frans Lanting recently documented surviving cheetah populations in Africa and Asia, including “supermoms” raising litters on the run. He and filmmaker Christine Eckstrom will show images and video of these beautiful creatures. Then cinematographer Gregory J. Wilson, who took high-speed images of cheetahs in action, will share the cutting-edge technology of this new technique, which expands our understanding of cheetah bio-mechanics.
There are a limited number of spaces available to our special CCF friends for this remarkable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Tickets may be purchased for a donation of $250 each, which includes both the exclusive private reception and tour at 6:00 PM at National Geographic's Editorial Offices and the evening's National Geographic Live! program commencing at 7:30 PM in Grosvenor Auditorium. We hope you can join us!
$250.00 donation per person, of which $200.00 is tax-deductible.
